Balthazar Daninos, Mickaël Chouquet and Léo Laroche from the Ateliers du Spectacle Company are in residency at the Atelier Arts Sciences in 2013. After a trial period in 2012, the company organises three Bivouacs in 2013. They take place in three different research centres in the Grenoble area. In each of these units, they engage in exploring how ideas are born. They have set up a research protocol, which they call CCMDLT : Comment ça marche dans la tête ? (What goes on inside the brain ?) This theatre group intends to draw on exploring the researchers’ brain : deep dive into imagination !

Three mathematical Bivouacs will be set up in 2012/2013 at the Grenoble Institute of Neuroscience in La Tronche, at the GIPSA-Lab in Saint Martin d’Hères and at CEA Grenoble.

Associated researchers

Dominique David (CEA-Leti), Amal Chabli (CEA-Leti), Antoine Depaulis (GIN), Jean-Luc Schwartz (Gipsa-lab), Hélène Loevenbruck (Gipsa-lab), Julien Bastin (GIN), Marie-Jo Moutin (GIN), Michel Dojat (GIN) are the main researchers who are associated to the entire project. Several other scientists are invited to participate in a one-day working session at each of the venues where the company sets up their research tent.

The Ateliers du Spectacle Company is hosted by the Ateliers Arts Sciences in 2013 in a residency on the CCMDLT project, a research protocol on how ideas emerge in order to understand "What goes on inside researchers’ brain". They will set up their bivouac for a week at the Grenoble Institute of Neuroscience (GIN) in La Tronche, the GIPSA-Lab in Saint Martin d’Hères and at the CEA Grenoble so as to carry out their poetic protocol experiment on researchers’ imagination. A group of researchers will join in the whole protocol process.
The residency will lead to a production presented in the framework of the Rencontres-i Arts Sciences Biennale 2013.
