ARTS SCIENCES SYMPOSIUM

Symposium chaired by Thierry Ménissier and Valérie Chanal, UPMF, Grenoble

"The Role of Arts-Sciences Relationship in the Regions"

Friday, 7 October at MINATEC - in the framework of the Rencontres-i Arts-Sciences Biennale 2011

The Atelier Arts-Sciences, after five years of experience, aims with this symposium to demonstrate through national and international experiences as well as through noteworthy theoretical lectures, how connections between arts and sciences can contribute to regional development. We will attempt to assess the function of arts-sciences projects in relation to other activities in the region, such as education, economy, and projects for communities and citizens. The symposium will investigate the "arts and sciences" register, still poorly explored, despite the keen interest that it evokes.
